The Lyons Football Club
is a new, not-for-profit football organization based in Lyons Township, Illinois. It is a competitive travel program
where players learn and develop the fundamentals of tackle football in a supervised, organized and safe atmosphere. Teams
are formed based on age and weight. The goal of our club is to develop football skills to compete in a high
school athletic environment. Our League stresses learning lessons of value, such as self-discipline, teamwork, friendship,
respect, leadership, character, sportsmanship, the importance of scholastic
achievement, while having fun along the way.
The Lyons Football Club will compete in the well-established
Bill George Youth Football League, beginning in the Fall of 2012. The teams in this league are based in the Western
suburbs of Chicago. Eligibility will start at the levels identified
in our Fact Sheet. Team sizes and number of teams established will be based upon coaching resources and
enrollment. It is our goal to have teams comprised of approximately 20 players. However, during our start up and
the two year probationary period as mandated for new teams in the Bill George League, this may vary slightly.
